Unveiled back in 2011, the Lenovo IdeaPad A1 Tablet is now up for grabs under $200. In case you gave up hope on the slate coz of running silly Android 2.3, you will be please to read that Best Buy is offering the slate flavored by ICS.

Lenovo IdeaPad A1Featuring a 7-inch (1024 x 600) 2-finger capacitive touch-screen LED display, the IdeaPad Tablet A1107 couples 512MB RAM along with a 1GHz single-core Cortex A8 processor. It weighs only 14.1 oz. and measures just 0.5″ thin.

It also has a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, g-sensor and a rear-facing shooter.

You can grab 16GB version of the tablet for no less than $199 from Best Buy here.

Are you looking forward to picking one up? Or would you rather prefer to grab Google Nexus 7 with a higher resolution display, a faster processor, and the newer Jelly Bean OS with same price tag?

Update: If you already have an IdeaPad A1 lying around, you may be able to update it from Android 2.3 to 4.0. The company, however, hasn’t officially released a software update, so proceed with caution. But you can download the latest unreleased IdeaPad A1 ICS Update from Lenovo and then follow instructions at Gleescape to try installing it on your device.

You can also try a modified version of the update that’s tweaked to run with ClockworkMod Recovery.
