LG’s high-end Android-powered Optimus 4X HD was detailed back in mid-June. Though, it’s a bit later than expected but we’re happy to see this monster shipping. The LG Optimus 4X HD is up for preorders in UK through online retailer Phones4U.

While the device’s preorders begin starting today, the retailer promises Aug. 27 as the phone’s arrival date. Phones4U is offering Free LG Optimus 4X HD on a new contract starting at £26 per month. At the moment, the handset is available in black version only, and will be followed at a later date by the white model.

To sweeten the deal, the retailer also offers a deal, where 50 people — who submit their pre-orders first – will get tickets for them and a friend to see British singer Cheryl Cole perform live this Autumn at the LG Arena in Birmingham on October 12^th. The tickets are worth £100, says Phones4U.
