LG, on Wednesday, has launched its first 84-inch LCD TV with support for 4K pixels resolution. This new LG Ultra High-definition 3D television (UHDTV) features Cinema 3D technology, as well as “3D sound” through integrated 2.2 channel speakers.
4K pixel resolution is a big deal on an 84-inch screen, as what it looks like other manufacturers are still stuck with rather small. Pixels even, at 3840×2160, are little points of light on a TV screen that a person can see if they get up really, really close. And our fellow claims that much resolution content is practically impossible.
LG claims this UD 3D TV offering up 8 million pixels a frame, using its Triple XD engine.

The new LG 84-inch 3D LCD TV (84LM9600) is priced ₩25 million [won] (about $22,100). The television is expected to ship in Korea now, with worldwide availability, including North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, starting in September.
