Nikon India just has confirmed to Techsnapr that the company will be bringing its latest revealed Coolpix S800c Android-powered camera in the country by October. Aside of S800c, the company will also be launching four new products in its COOLPIX series of digital compact point-and-shoot cameras.
Apart from the Nikon Coolpix S800c Camera, the other models include Coolpix P7700, L610, S6400, and S01.

The Coolpix S800c is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread running built-in WiFi camera, comes featuring a 16MP CMOS sensor, an f/2.3 aperture with 10x optical zoom, and a 3.5-inch — approx 819k-dot widescreen OLED monitor. Featuring 1080p video capability, the shooter has circa 25mm to 250mm focal range.
It also has access to wide variety of apps from the Google Play Store. Users will be able to edit their images using popular apps like Instagram or Pixlr-O-Matic, as well as ability to share them anywhere directly from the camera itself.

The company, however, didn’t reveal the price tag for its Coolpix lineup. Nikon said that the price and availability info will be revealed in September. We suspect S800c to be priced around INR 20,000 or above at the launch, as it’s already available in the US for $350. The camera is expected to go on sale in October 2012.
