Introduced last year and been available since then in the US, the Amazon Cloud Drive is now available in the UK. Offering 5GB of free storage, the Cloud Drive lets you have access for more storage, with the way you choose to pay.

While you can get 20GB upgraded storage per year by spending £6, the service also lets you add up to 1,000GB for £320 a year.

Reportedly the Amazon Cloud Drive app is also available for Mac and Windows starting today. The new app lets users manage files straight from the desktop. Once you’re done uploading your music collection, you can play it anywhere on your device using the Cloud Player.

The service, however, is not flagged up on the Amazon UK homepage, and yet has to be officially announced by the Amazon. We suspect Amazon to announce the new service [in UK] on its upcoming Event, which is scheduled for September 6. The company is also rumored to unveil the new Kindle Fire2 tablet and its Android-powered Kindle Phone. Stay tuned with Techsnapr for more on the matter.
