We’re already impressed with LG’s Optimus Vu when it was revealed way back in February. Now it seems LG is preparing yet another Phablet in its Vu-series. Dubbed LG Optimus Vu2, the new smartphone just has been announced for Korea.
Featuring “all-in-one remote control” technology, the Optimus Vu2 would be able to control over 300 brands of TV, set-top boxes, audio systems, air conditioners, appliances and more. There’s also in-built infrared sensor with a dedicated QRemote app to control home entertainment systems. The new app lets device automatically recognizing when you’re at home.
That said; once you’re done connecting the device to your home WiFi network, it automatically adds remote control shortcut buttons to its lockscreen. Moreover, even if your phone is locked, the rest of your family can use it to control your home entertainment system.
Unfortunately no other details of the Vu 2 were revealed other than screenshots (shown above and below). It is expected to land in Korea next month alongside yet-to-be-unveiled LG Optimus G. Stay tuned for more.
