Toshiba, at IFA 2012, entered the 4K TVs era with its all new 84-inch version. We do know, the television market has started to roll out 4K in a little over a week and some of them are available. Though, the new Toshiba Quad Full 4K HDTV won’t be making its debut till next year, it is worth to wait. As it’s a huge 84-inch LCD screen equipped HDTV with –presumably — bragging 3840 x 2160 pixels of resolution.
Toshiba’s CEVO Engine 4K – also found in the PlayStation 3 — is powering the new TV to upscaling 1080p content as well as makes it compete among other televisions out there in the market.
Featuring amazingly thin and classy display, the new TV has a slim bezel and incorporates Toshiba’s internet features. That said; naturally things like internet connected TV also come with the set, as does 3D, which is passive.
Toshiba showed off three colors versions of TV, including grey, black and a matt black.
Toshiba hopes to bring it to US and Europe in the middle of 2013. We expect to hear more about Toshiba’s new 4K TV at CES 2013 in January. No words on pricing yet. Though, expect them to cost a lot.
