We do know that the next-gen iPhone is coming next week, but what about the refreshed iPods’ lineup? We’ve been not sharing much speculation about upcoming iPods’ lineup, as the details regarding the products have already been scant.
But now we’re hearing rumors that Apple may prepare a 4-inch iPod Touch along with new iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle. Interestingly, the rumors point the same time-frame [Sep. 12] for upcoming iPod Touch’s debut as the new iPhone5 is unveiled.
The upcoming 4 inch iPod Touch could retain the current form factor with some tweaks, with possibilities including a new smaller 9-pin dock connector, increased storage [maybe 128GB] or pre-installed iOS 6.
Its display will be a 16:9 aspect ratio equipped although it’s not yet known whether it will be the same panel used for the new iPhone or a less expensive IPS panel for example. The new iPod Touch is also rumored to use aluminum back and will come in multiple colors models. Stay tuned for additional details.
