Sony RX1 full-frame Fixed Lens Camera [Short Review]

Cyber-Shot DSC-RX1

As rumored, Sony just has revealed world’s best full-frame compact camera [as the company is brave enough to call it]; the Cyber-shot DSC-RX1. Sony RX1’s 24.3-megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor could lure the generation’ photographers, enthusiasts and even advanced hobbyists — more than Samsung’s Android-powered — as they still know the value of a hardware button to shoot the things on-the-go with less noise at high ISOs.

F2 Carl-Zeiss Lens

Sony RX1’s Carl-Zeiss 35mm F2 fixed lens — with 5fps burst mode shooting capability — is something that might provide the depth of field, dynamic range, the amazing high ISO capability and the deep color and quality.

Sony RX1 Shooting View

Alongside of 1080p full-HD video recording, what makes the Sony RX1 unique is given its rugged aluminum body with compact 113 x 65 x 70mm dimensions and 482g weight. This 14-bit RAW JPEG image capturing Sony’s camera will not leave you off-desired with EVFs; 450 bucks will snag you an optical view-finder, for that rangefinder-style of composing shots. Other accessories, including a leather case, lens hood and a thumb grip will help you matching your stylish hot-shoe.

You can get this Sony’s 3-inch 1,229k dot LCD equipped boy next month [at least in Asia] or in November in US, if you will not be itching to fork out your US$2,800. For the rest of the world, we will do follow up post when this sexy toy will be shipping. Stay tuned.
