Apple just has confirmed that the iPhone5 preorders will be available starting midnight PDT tonight. Apple, at its Media Event in San Francisco, already revealed that it will start taking preorders for iPhone5 on September 14, but did not elaborate on exact timing.
Now it’s been confirmed that Apple will indeed taking iPhone5 preorders at 3:01 a.m. EDT, 12:01 a.m. PDT on Sep 14th.
In case, you prefer the old-fashioned way, you might want to wait for the doors on Apple’s retail stores to swing open at 8 a.m. local time on September 21.
While — jumping on the opportunity first — Sprint will receive new iPhone5 preorders (over Sprint.com/iPhone) at 12:01 AM PT (that’s 3 AM for us East Coasters), Verizon will enter the race by a minute (over verizonwireless.com/iPhone), starting orders at tonight at midnight on the dot. There’s no word on AT&T’s offering preorders. But you can always check at att.com/iPhone, in case the new iPhone make its debut.

Stay tuned with us for additional details on the matter, as we will do a follow up post on availability in other regions, including UK, Asia and so on.
