Lumia 900 White Pair

It’s not sooner as expected, but is worth take a look at premium version of Lumia-series. Almost five and half months later since the launch, the Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone is now available in India.

Tagged for a best buy of Rs 29,999 and an MRP of Rs 31,900, the Lumia 900 holds a promise of rich experience. It also boasts free music streaming on-the-go via an app, though the service is only avail in US, at the time being.

The launch of this monster sounds peculiar, as what it seems like the company’s Windows Phone 8-powered smartphones, namely Lumia 920 and 820, are coming in November in the country.

So the Lumia 900 is worth buying? At the moment, I would suggest “NO.” [I would suggest you betting on Lumia 800 or 710 instead.] As, even, the 900 can’t be updated to the Microsoft’s latest operating system so far. But to please your patience a bit, Nokia is reportedly pushing the Windows Phone 7.8 upgrade out. The update is expected to bring the new HomeScreen and some additional camera-related features.

You might want to head down over to the following key features and specifications run-down, if something fits your requirement, at least:

  • 4.3-inch (800 x 480p) WVGA ClearBlack display
  • 1.4GHz single-core Qualcomm Scorpion processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 16GB on-board storage
  • 8MP rear snapper with f/2.2 Carl Zeiss lens and LED flash
  • 1MP front-facing shooter
  • 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio
  • non-removable 1830mAh battery
  • Nokia Maps, Drive and Nokia Music apps

Update: The handset is already listed over Indian online retailer Napptol’s website, but is not available for purchase. We’ll do a follow up post on availability over other retailers. Stay tuned.

Thanks, whoever sent this in.
