Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie

After countless leaks, and a whole lot of speculations,  Android 5.0, which was rumored earlier to debut as Jelly Bean, but Google versioned it 4.1. No doubt Google may launch Android 5.0 as Key Lime Pie to follow Jelly Bean release, which would be introduced by November this year in the market targeting smartphone users.

Android powered phone was first marketed in 2008. Over a period of time by 2010 android had become the leading mobile phone platform. Currently it has a dominant market share of 59% which is quite enviable and its popularity is increasing due to its user friendly applications and Google market support.   The brand android was initially developed by Android Inc with the financial backing of Google and in 2005 Google purchased the brand right and marketing.

Though Android is developed mainly to use in mobile smart phones and tablet computers, the open and customizable features of the operating system allows it to be used in various other electronic information gadgets. Instruments such as laptops, smart TVs and eBooks readers have the luxury of using android as its information processing platform. Android applications are commonly prepared in Java language using the Android Software Development Kit.  Other development tools are such as Native Development Kit for applications or extension in C or C++. Google App Inventor which is a visual environment program and various platform mobile web application frameworks are used to develop this. There seems to be no let up in the android market and all efforts are being incorporated to produce new version of android ever since the launch of Android 4.1 which is the driving force behind Nexus 7.  Maintaining the pace of development in the android based Operating System the version 5.0 is speculated to come with much easier options. There won’t be any fuss in managing your smart phone, such as switching off the sound or turning off the data or putting the phone in a sleep mode etc.  As experts opined Android version 5.0 shall be having more concentration on performance profile. It is also expected to have a better multiple device support. The social networking site is also expected to have much enhanced features and deep integration in android 5.0.  Android experts and users prefer to see some more user friendly options in Android 5.0 version like a Cross-device SMS sync, which will be helpful to multiple SIM card users. Inbuilt video chat app, multi select in the contacts. Android will continue with its stellar performance in the coming years with its latest introduction of Android 5.0.
