We thought it’s presumably the time for Sony to unveil their next-gen gaming console — but playing the business game easily, the company has unveiled yet-another redesigned version of popular Sony PS3.
Boasting a slimmer streamlined design — making it 20% smaller and about 25% lighter next to the existing PS3 gaming console — the new Sony PlayStation 3 now also has more hard-drive memory at 500GB or 250GB.
The models will be available in two colors versions, including black and white, which will be released on October 4th and on November 22nd, respectively.
That said; while the new black Sony PS3 [250GB model] is tagged for 24,980 Yen ($316) in Japan, you will be able to snag out 500GB model for 29,980 yen ($380) on October 4th.
Moreover, an Everybody’s Golf 6 PS3 pack will be offered with a white PlayStation 3 [250GB model] for 25,980 Yen, starting November 22nd.

The 250GB, however, will debut in the North America on September 25th, and will retail for $269.99 as part of a limited edition bundle. The bundle includes Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception; Game of the Year edition, in addition to a voucher worth $30. Meanwhile, the interested parties can wait for the 500GB model arriving on October 30 for $299 in form of a limited edition Assassin’s Creed III bundle. Moving on, Sony has also revealed global availability, including India or Asia, in October. But folks living in Australia and Europe are in luck as they can grab the new Sony PS3 [250GB] for AU$300 on September 28 and PS3 [500GB] with special FIFA 13 pack for 229 Euros (£240) on October 12 — citing Australian PlayStation Blog.
On the other hand, Sony has also dropped the price of PlayStation Portable (PSP) to 13,800 yen ($175) in Japan from 16,800 yen ($213). There is no change to the US price now at about $130. Talking about PlayStation Vita, the new console now has two more colors versions, including red and blue, in addition to black and white.
