Optimus Vu2 Specs Sheet

It’s been almost a month since LG announced the Optimus Vu2 Phablet hybrid way back in February at IFA. Though, the company revealed no details regarding spec sheet and availability. But now it looks like the Phablet’s specs have been detailed, as shown above in screenshot.

Apparently being the successor to the original Vu smartphone, the new Vu 2 hybrid smartphone/tablet packs a 5-inch display with 4:3 aspect ratios and stylus input. Head down over to the quick spec run-down below.

  • 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 (Qualcomm MSM8960) processor
  • Android 4.0 ICS operating system
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 8MP rear BSI shooter
  • 1.3MP front-facing snapper
  • 16GB of internal storage (expandable upto 32GB via MicroSD card)
  • 2,150 mAh battery
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, 3G/HSPA, Bluetooth 4.0
  • 4G LTE connectivity and NFC support

Additionally, the device will sport a remote app that will let users use the Vu2 as a controller for televisions, Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, and even air conditioning units, or other home appliances.

The device will likely go on sale in Korea initially, with other regions’ availability to be expected after shortly.

With a 5-incher device rumored from HTC as Google Nexus5, the market for the form factor looks to get a bit more crowded this holiday season. Stay tuned for a follow-up post on Optimus Vu2’s pricing and availability.
