Remember that Lytro Camera? The new — innovative shot-first focus later plenoptic — light field camera was unveiled way back in October, and we brought you the official launch of the camera on company’s official site.
The camera was tagged at $399 on Lytro website soon after its debut.
Now the camera’s release date has been confirmed worldwide. In the US, starting October 9th the new Lytro Camera will be available for purchase online through Amazon, Target, and Best Buy.
As of international availability, starting October 9th the camera is expected to go on sale online through Canada’s Future Shop and in-store in Australia from October 10th.

The camera will debut in Hong Kong and Singapore starting mid-October. Available in blue, red and black colors models, the Lytro Camera rather allows users to take pictures first and let them focused later; than manually focusing or waiting for autofocus instead.
We’ll sure do a follow-up post on availability. Stay tuned. Meanwhile head over to the video above for closer glimpse at how this camera actually works. Or try this action out yourself with images shown below.
