Android Jelly Bean powered Samsung Galaxy Camera was unveiled way back in late August, but company revealed no details on pricing and availability at that time. But as we assumed, the new Galaxy Camera will cost you a HEFTY price tag.
That said; the UK’s online retailer Clove has detailed the Samsung Galaxy Camera pricing in UK — at least — which could give us an idea of pricing in other regions too.
The retailer has confirmed that it will be stocking the new Samsung behemoth for £400 inc. VAT [£333 ext. VAT] in late October. This price tag equates to around US$500, which will be for USA customers and around INR 28,000 for Indians.
Packing a bunch of sharing and content creation goodies from Samsung, as well as 3G and 4G connectivity; the new Samsung Android camera features a 16MP BSI CMOS sensor and 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos processor along with 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD touchscreen.
Still the mentioned price tag for a point-and-shoot snapper seems a bit lot. Nevertheless, we’d hope for some fairly substantial discounts on the camera towards the holiday season – as it could be a pre-order price, and as such, it is subject to be changed as the release date approaches. But if you can’t/don’t want to wait for this monster, you can preorder it here.
