Sony, on Friday, took to its official blog announcing Android 4.0 ICS updates for its remaining Xperia-series’ smartphones, including Xperia U, Go, and Sola.
It’s no secret that Sony is quick on the software updates, as it started rolling out ICS updates for its handsets way back in May, and it ended up becoming available on Xperia S recently.
But now the company is back again yet with the new ICS update, making it available as over-the-air (OTA). Despite the cool/sweet Ice Cream Sandwich, the new update snags new media apps, including Sony Walkman, Album, and Music to all three handsets.
Moreover, the Xperia Sola also receiving an exclusive new feature — called “Glove Mode” — which allows users to use the phone’s screen while wearing gloves. We’d like to hear if you’ve upgraded your device with the Android version and with upgraded phone which country you’re in?
Note: In case you don’t get any OTA notification, the company advises users to connect their phones to a PC or Mac in order to grab the update.
