Google reportedly has passed Microsoft in its market capitalization on Monday, October 1st. According to report, this is for the first time ever that search engine giant became the second most valuable technology company in the world. While Apple is still ranked #1.
Reportedly earlier this year Google was trailed by $19 billion from Microsoft, but this morning search engine giant closed that gap entirely.
In short, now Google’s market cap is sitting at around $249 billion while Microsoft dipped to $248 billion.
At the time being, Microsoft still leads Google with a nice $3 billion difference that could, however, easily be erased if Google surges again.
