With the Windows 8 release is looming around the horizon, the folks over at Mozilla have released their first new nightly build of Firefox for the upcoming Microsoft’s OS. Dubbed Firefox 18 Metro Preview for Windows 8, this new version of the browser is fully compatible with x86 Windows 8 for both the Modern UI (Metro) and Desktop modes.
The Firefox 18 preview version is said to be an experimental build, so bugs are subject to be found. Moreover, it is also proved too rough around the edges (using a Samsung Series 7 tablet) to use for much more than exploring the new Metro interface.
It’s also reported that the Mozilla’s current schedule will keep the Metro version of its browser in beta for some time after the Windows 8 release on Oct. 26.
But if you want to give it a whirl, you might want to head over to here. Meanwhile, head over to the source link below for more details.
