A new beefed up version of S3 handset, called Samsung Galaxy S3 Alpha, has been announced in Japan by NTT DoCoMo.
Bringing a powerful 1.6GHz Exynos 4412 quad core processor, coupled by 2GB of RAM, under the hood, the new Galaxy S3 Alpha (∝) handset packs a 4.8 inch (1280 x 720p) Super AMOLED display.
Other features on the S3 Alpha also include a 8MP rear shooter alongside 1.9MP front-facing snapper, and 1Seg TV tuner, WiFi, NFC in tow. There’s also a 2,100 mAh battery.
The phone will be shipped with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean installed and will debut in Black and Gray by year’s end.
On the other hand, NTT DoCoMo also has announced the Galaxy Note2 for Japan; to follow a November release.
