Reliance Communications (RCom) India and WhatsApp teamed up and together have issued new offers for Indian customers at very cheap price tags.

While the GSM subscribers are welcome to dive in the new offer called “WhatsApp Plan” which lets users access to unlimited WhatsApp and Facebook usage across the country at Rs 16 (around $0.30) per month without paying any extra data consumption (GPRS/3G); the other plan — dubbed “My College Plan” — is for the students.

Meanwhile do note that the WhatsApp Plan seems to offer free access to unlimited WhatsApp and Facebook only, and users might be charged extra charges [of their data] if they access to other social networking sites. The plan will also be auto-renewed every 30 days unless unsubscribed.

Moving on, the My College Plan from WhatsApp allows students to call and SMS within their specified group at just 5 paise ($0.0009). Moreover, the plan lets users broadcast messages to the entire college group for Rs 3 (circa $0.05) by sending the text to 51112.
