The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is now rolling out to GSM Unlocked Galaxy Nexus devices. It shouldn’t come as a surprise as the Google’s Nexus7 got upgraded last week, within minutes after latest Android version released.
Coming as over-the-air (OTA) update, the new Galaxy Nexus Android 4.1.2 update brings nothing other than bug fixes and smooth performance. Though, a new feature is noted in the form of the expandable notifications , which lets users expand and collapse notifications with one-finger gestures, instead of the two-finger gestures required before.
Do note that, at the time being, the latest update is being rolled out to the unlocked GSM version only and the owners of the Sprint or Verizon models won’t be able to upgrade their devices. Not just yet, anyway.
On the other hand, it’s being reported that the GSM Galaxy S owner are also receiving the update as well, but we have yet to see these claims substantiated. Stay tuned for additional details.
