HTC Debuts 5-incher J Butterfly ‘HTL21′ Phablet:

The Taiwanese giant HTC has just unveiled the long-rumored Phablet in the form of HTC J Butterfly — which we thought could be a Nexus device, alas. Being the first 5-incher Phablet device from HTC the “Butterfly” name makes a little sense, as it has bit like dressing Chuck Norris in a tutu.

Featuring a drool-worthy 5-inch (1920 x 1080p) SLCD 3 display [at 440 ppi], the new HTC J Butterfly ‘HTL21’ is powered by a a quad-core Qualcomm S4 Pro APQ8064 processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Also packing 16GB internal memory [expandable upto 32GB via MicroSD card], the HTC J ‘Butterfly’ measures just at 143 x 71 x 9.1 mm and weighs around 140g. Other features also include an 8MP rear shooter along with 2.1MP front-facing snapper, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0/BLE, 4G LTE support and a huge 2020 mAh battery.

The new HTC Phablet will be shipping with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean under the hood. The device is slated to be launched in early December [worldwide?] with three color flavors — including White, Red and Black — and Japanese website has listed it as “coming soon”. No words on pricing yet.
