KDDI Debuts 7-incher Sharp AQUOS Pad: After revealing world’s first IGZO Panel-equipped handset, Sharp continues dominating the gadgets-foray with yet another IGZO LCD-based 7-incher slate in the AQUOS-series.
Scheduled to be launched in mid-December by Japanese carrier KDDI, the new Sharp AQUOS Pad SHT21 is touted to bring double the battery life of its predecessor — thanks to its huge 3,460 mAh battery.
Running on a 1.5GHz dual-core MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, the new Sharp AQUOS Pad packs a pen input-supported 7-inch (1280 x 800p) display. Other specs also include 16GB of internal storage, MicroSDXC slot card, Bluetooth 4.0, MHL, and NFC.
Flavored by Android 4.0 ICS (upgradable to Jelly Bean), the tab will be running on the 4G LTE network. There’s also protection against water and dust.
No words on pricing yet, but you should start saving up if this is your next pick — considering that Sharp’s display, which could be worth a lot of dough. Thoughts?
