GoPro, the Action camera manufacturer, has revealed two new editions to its Hero-series. Dubbed Hero3, the new action shooters can be grabbed starting today from company’s official website.

Flaunting a range of different color models — including black, silver and white — alongside a host of upgrades and features, the new GoPro Hero 3 cameras come with their own waterproof housing.

Hero3 Black Edition

At the top of the line is the Hero3 Black Edition; equipped with a 12MP sensor the camera can capture up to 4K video [3840x2160p] at 15 frames/second and 1080p HD video at 60 frames/second. It also has a waterproof Wi-Fi controller.

Hero3 Sliver Edition

Gaining protune mode for its HD output, the Hero3 Silver Edition also features an 11MP sensor, and WiFi controller.

Hero3 White Edition

Talking about Hero3 White Edition, this entry level shooter is capable of shooting video at 1080p and 960p, at 30fps, as well as 720p at 60fps. It also features built-in WiFi and a 5MP sensor.

The all GoPro Hero 3 models have a redesigned lens, which GoPro describes as ‘ultra-wide’ with ‘reduced distortion’. They still remain as solid and rugged as always. Each of them is also compatible with new GoPro apps for iOS and Android for your controlling pleasure. The cameras will start shipping by next month. Meanwhile, watch the camera’s shooting in action below.

Update: The cameras also can be purchased through B&H Photo Video retailer.
