As expected, Apple’s 8th-generation new iMac is now available for purchase in the form of 21.5-incher and 27-incher versions.
Featuring an all-new design with a 5mm edge, the new iMac 2012 version also packs Fusion Drive, which combines a 128GB SSD with a 1TB or 3TB hard drive; which lets maximize both speed and capacity.
To remind you, the new iMac’s 21.5-inch model brings a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel display, while the 27-inch version makes do with a 2560 x 1440 pixel screen—with both carrying 178-degree viewing angles.
As of pricing, the 21.5-incher starts at $1300 while the 27-inch model starts at $1800. The both models can be preordered in the US and UK starting today; though do note that 27-inch will be hitting shelves in mid-December; while the 21.5-inch version will be shipping by 1-3 business days.
You can configure both models with either Core i5 or i7 processors, or even with more RAM.
