Despite including its 2011 products, Sony Mobile issued a statement, in mid-October, that its leading 2012 products would be getting upgraded to Android 4.1/Jelly Bean operating system; though no time-frame were mentioned.
It’s no secret that Xperia S by Sony has been a much-anticipated device among all, and since we’ve seen running Android v5.0 on its sibling—this beast is worth considering to get upgraded, to the Android v4.1 at least.
The phone was already upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich in late June.
If you’re one of the Xperia S owners, and have been itching to play with Google’s latest mobile OS, hopefully your Jelly Bean update won’t be far behind—fingers crossed.
That said; earlier this morning, on its official Twitter account, Sony Mobile UK confirmed that the Xperia S Jelly Bean update will be rolling out by “mid-December.”
Additionally, company’s Xperia T, TX, and V smartphones will be in line for upgrade by early next year. Stay tuned for additional details on the matter. Are you curious?
