Excite 7.7 Jelly Bean OTA Update

Given the fact Toshiba hasn’t been porting out new software (Android) updates to their devices, we thought the owners of Excite 7.7 tablet will be left waiting on further upgrade. Surprising us a little bit, the Toshiba’s Excite 7.7 tab is pulling down a quite sizeable 348MB update that will flavor it upto Android v4.1.1 Jelly Bean from Ice Cream Sandwich.

The OTA (over the air) update will immerse the tablet owners with “hybrid UI” and new goodies, including centered navigation buttons and new status bar, that we’ve noticed integrated within the Google’s Nexus 7 slate. Project Butter and Google Now are, too, the features that you will be treated with.
