Acer’s Jelly Bean-running Iconia B1 has been launched in India, and as we’d expect the tablet should hit Indian markets by January-end. Wisely tagging it at INR 8000, Acer is the first global brand to bring a sub-INR 10K Android tablet in country, despite other national manufacturers; and sure enough this 7-incher is set to go rival with ASUS’s $150 MeMo Pad, which yet has to be released.
Also known as Acer Iconia B1-A71, the 7-inch tablet packs a WSVGA display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels along with a MediaTek’s dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 8GB storage, and WiFi connectivity. There’s also micro SD card slot and micro USB port. Tablet’s battery probably may lure customers, as bringing a power of 2710 mAh on-board. Meanwhile, B1’s 0.3MP front-facing shooter is certainly helping keep costs down. Are you picking one up?
