ASUS has quietly added yet another model in its lineup of Ultrabooks in the form of VivoBook S300, offering Intel’s Core i7 Ivy Bridge processing power and Windows 8 Pro experience on a 13.3-inch touchscreen TFT panel. At just 0.8 inches thick and 3.9 pound, the new Notebook can be had with a range of different processor options, which follow below.
- Intel Celeron 847 ULV
- Intel Pentium 987 ULV
- Intel Core i3-2365U
- Intel Core i3-3217U
- Intel Core i5-3317U
- Intel Core i7-3517U
Equipped with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel, the unit will also have 320GB or 500GB hard drive options. It has a VGA port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, HDMI and audio jacks. Other features on the VivoBook S300 include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and an SD card reader.
No words on pricing yet. Though, now that its big brother costs just $700, we suspect it to be selling around $600 or less. Stay tuned with us for a follow-up post.
