The camera maker Nikon has just announced that company is rebranding its “MyPicturetown” cloud storage service. The new service, called Nikon Image Space, will go live as of January 28th, 2013 — but those already onside with MyPicturetown will have their photos transferred for free. It will allow owners of all sorts of camera gear — not only Nikon’s — to store images and share them afterward with social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
Anyone will get 2GB of free storage. However, a “Special” account offers 20GB of space, but it requires verifying you have a Nikon camera. Nikon’s new improved service aims to take-on Canon’s similar service. Thoughts?
