Via an IDC report filling, Microsoft on Tuesday has stated that its Windows Phone platform has reached 10% marketshare in a number of countries, as well as it has outsold Apple’s iPhone in 7 markets. Microsoft’s VP, Frank Shaw, also confirmed that Windows Phone shipments have crossed BlackBerry shipments in 26 markets.
Shaw, however, didn’t unleash the names of those markets. But, so far IDC report, citing Technet Blog, did explain why Redmond’s Windows Phone platform has a foothold in those regions.
Albeit, a related but separate report from The New York Times confirmed that in Q4’s WP shipments surpassed the iPhone sell in Argentina, India, Poland, Russia, South Africa, and the Ukraine.
Moving on, the official Microsoft’s blog, in meanwhile, also sheds light on the software front, stating that Windows Azure has doubled its customer base, witnessing a revenue growth three times than earlier. Thoughts?
