Amazon’s biggest tablet-offering, the Kindle Fire HD 8.9, will be available for purchase through AT&T starting this Friday, April 5th. The tablet can be had for $400, or it can be added to one of AT&T’s shared data plans, wherein buyers can get $150 off the 4G LTE-equipped 32GB model with an optional two-year data plan contract.
The limited time deal sees $100 in discount for signing the contract while the other $50 is for buying the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 LTE via AT&T store.
AT&T is the first carrier to offer the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 on its 4G LTE network. AT&T data plans run at a minimum of $14.99 per month, or you can add the tablet to an existing Mobile Share plan for $10 per month. An additional $50 activation credit is available for customers who purchase their device at AT&T retail stores.
