Earlier this month we reported that LG’s Optimus G got a software update on AT&T, and unfortunately it was not Jelly Bean update. But now it appears as though the Jelly Bean update for Optimus G is finally available for grabs starting today, with a number of users are reporting it as an non-OTA roll-out over AT&T’s own community forums.
The update is Android version 4.1.2 and users claim that they’ve been able to snag the bump up to Jelly Bean in a good 336MB file, for which the build number is deemed to be JZO54K and software version as E97020j.
Despite AT&T PR’s claims that no update is being pushed, several users are apparently getting Jelly Bean over the air, too. We assume that the Optimus G Jelly Bean update is just trickling out to some lucky owners early, as the carrier is expected to begin a roll-out soon (or tomorrow, maybe)
It might not come as surprise if you, too, have an update under the hood. Do check it manually by going to Settings > About phone > Software update on your smartphone and let us know whether you got the OTA push.
