Heads up Indians! There’s a treat waiting for you under the hood. An Android update for Google Translate has been released earlier this morning, bringing the support for your mother-tongue (Hindi) for your translating pleasure. Now you can input your [handwritten] Hindi phrases or words in Google Translate to be translated it into other languages.
We, for example, gave it a try and it seems good-enough useful. Although, we couldn’t get our job done many times, as it did recognize the input totally different than what we had written.
Moving on, along with Hindi support, Google has included Thai language support to its Translate app.
On the other hand, the Mountain View has also added camera input translation for Afrikaans, Greek, Hebrew and Serbian languages, which now supports in total upto 34 languages.
You can download the latest version of Google Translate via Play Store for free.
